why not set up the board where you have to put a city, then its displayed automatically???

this is the only board i frequent that insists on location in your signature, although some boards take your city info and post it automatically under your name. from my standpoint the warnings comes across as rude. i initially thought about cussing ya'll out and leaving, but i realized i cannot infer tone of voice in text. i assumed nothing was meant by the warning (it wasnt, was it?) and changed it. the aggravating hing is i added my city in the sign up process, and again filling out signatures is NOT the norm......

Hello Lee,

I hope you stick around. You had some good posts on this forum and I'd hate to see you leave.
I wouldn't take the "warnings" personally. These guys just like to know where everyone is hailing from. I figure it's no big deal to add my location in the signature, since I am a guest here and it's their forum, (they pay for the web space, do the upkeep, etc.) I'm willing to humor them as a small token of appreciation for giving us a great resource of information on these rare old trucks. <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">

Hi Lee,
I hope you stick around too. I appreciate your suggestion about the signature and the location. Unfortunately, this particular forum software doesn't allow for the state or city or anything else to be displayed in the post without some re-engineering of the code. I try my best to make changes to the forum code, but programming is not my strong suit. The best way we could figure to get the info displayed is by having users put it in the sig box. Sorry if the warnings came off as rude or antagonistic. Longhunter7 is just trying to get people to comply. I realize that other forums don't require this extra step, but I really appreciate you filling out your sig. I want each and every member to feel welcome here and stick around. We aren't trying to hound anyone to death or piss anyone off. It's just the best way we know to do it for right now. I cannot afford to upgrade the software right now. I will take another look at the code and see if anything can be done. If any of our members are experienced with ASP, please chime in and help. Thanks for understanding everyone!

Hi all of you
I am a guest here and I like the forum. As I come from a different country and most of all different culture I have problems to understand you and communicate so please forgive me if I say something wrong.
I think that Deuce owners and lovers have a certain profile and style of life that isn’t so common, even in USA. I can’t sear my experiences from my rides with people who hate my trucks. But you can understand. So if the forum has some rules it is OK with me. The little time I am with you, I feel I know you and I don’t like if someone leaves. Please let us stay together and do anything we can for the best of this forum.
