how well dose Hydrualic oil burn?

I got a 55 gal drum with 10 gal hyd. oil 45 gal of old diesel. ran it thur a filter as i pumped it . got scared so I add a gal of gas from last year lawn mower than i quart of rotella for good measure?

As long as its filtered, its fine. If you feel its too think, cut it with some gas. You are on the right track.

Bringing this thread up again. Who is running filtered hydraulic oil? What mix and with what? How does the engine run? Power issues etc. What is lubricity factor? May have a source and would like to mix with old/stale junkyard gas.
Thanks for any input.

I personally found my old deuce to run smoother, quieter, will run a bit hotter as oil has a higher btu rating (so get a pyro for safe measure) and generally loved running it. I've run 50% in my tanks of diesel.

myself and oldgrunt are running this mix, little low on power so we used a bottle of power system centane boost and it adds IP lube, worked great.
