Bjorn, I was thinking the same thing. although the 2 1/2 ton version is where i was going to guess. the tab on the end is straight with a 7/8 " hole.

2 1/2 ton version is the same basic size as the 5 tons except its not adjustable. Takes the same 1 1/2" pins as the 5 tonners.

That part is not on my M543A2 wrecker or on any of my M108 light cranes.

Color indicates that most of it is hidden in stowed position...see primer. May be pat of the lifting and recovery set for freight loading. Everybody look in their BIIL and AAL for their trucks and equipment and report back.
