I was taking a nice walk around "jacks used auto parts" in billerica MA this afternoon. While rummaging for some parts i needed i spotted a MV. Looks to be a CCKW, painted red and in overall neglected condition. Generally looks pretty solid though for a truck of its age. Has the extension on the bumper for a winch but no winch. Looking for some parts perhaps????? I think i will be heading back there sometime in the next few weeks, tell me where to look and i'll let you know what it looks like. I'll try to grab some pics as well

Is the CCKW cab/sheetmetal the same as the ton and a half Chevy? Just a curiostity, they look the same, but are they interchangeable???? I guess the real question is....is the Chevy an essentially shortened, closed cab, single axle version of the CCKW?

hmmmm, open or closed cab.......uh, well it has the remains on a soft top if that helps you ID it, other than that, sorry but i don't know much about the CCKW.
