Is it true that the Govt. drains all petroleum products (engine oil, fuel, transmission, transfer case, and all differentials) from their vehicles prior to sale?

No. But I always check all the fluids before I drive off-base just in case someone did.

Some sites do and some don't. Its best to check.

Most times it depends on if the vehicle is turned in as operational or not. In addition, each site does their own thing with regards to interpretation of the EPA rules. Some leave the fluids in complete vehicles, some drain them because they are 'unserviceable'. If they are residue vehicles, they will definitely be drained.

True ,some do some dont, ive seen them take diesel out , suprise
