Old jenny for sale

A fellow down the road brought this by the other day because he saw all the military vehicles in the yard and assumed I knew something about working on them.
He wanted to use it to power a small travel trailer but after trouble shooting it I determined that it needs a lot more work than I can do and would prob cost a chunk of change. He asked me to post it to see if someone wanted it for a collector piece and maybe make enough to buy him a small genny to run his camper.
The engine turns over but i could not get it to fire. I suspect the magneto but it could be something else.
He is asking $475.00 but might haggle.

Wreckerman, is that a 40s Genset?

That looks like an old WWII genset with the Willys Jeep engine. I'd buy it at that price, but it's too far away.

The magneto kill switch might be tripped. It's located on the magneto. I had an old MILSTD wisconsin engine do the something simular.

It has a Hercules engine in it.
