Another great experience with Saturn. As a few of you know I have been without electricity since hurricane Frances blew into town. Just got it back a few days ago. Anyway, on 9-8-04 I ordered new carbs for 2 of my generators. Had them shipped by UPS 2nd day air. According to UPS they arrived at the local terminal on 9-10-04 and were out for delivery. Well, they never came and UPS tells me every day that they are out for delivery. Now they won't even talk to meand suggest the the problem needs to be resolved with the shipper since they paid the shipping. Goodby UPS, Hello Fedex Ground. Back to Saturn. I called there and spoke with Jay! I told him the story and he called UPS. Got the same crap and they blamed it on the weather. There is a weather loophole in they're guarantee so as long as there is weather, their guarantee is useless. Jay felt for my plight and sent me 2 more carbs via overnight and now I'm set.Kudos to Saturn for another satisfied customer. If UPS ever deilvers the first pair of carbs, I promised to send them back to Jay....via Fedex!

R 4X4;
I feel for ya bud! There was a local auction here on Thursday. In the auction was a 15 KW trailered generator we wanted for the house. Someone else bought it for 3X the normal price to drive to FL and start gouging people there. I was so. Not that he won the bid, but what he was going to do with the unit! I feel sorry for y'all down there and glad we only have to deal with an occasional tornado here.

Hey Rat, we're fine here now. Frances was bad but not anything like Crazy Ivan. The panhandle barrier islands look to be destroyed. My own opinion is that gougers be hung from the yardarm for all to see! Damn them! On a relief note, I watched a line of about 200 line trucks leave the fairgrounds here in WPB headed to the panhandle. I'm a cop and have been to too many funerals but the line of police cars at a funeral still awes me. The utility trucks hit home too, impressive sight to see even with suitcases hanging off stuff in the back.

R4x4, I'll be heading down to Orange Beach Al. with my buddy to check his house. First reports are, the bridge to the island (Ono) he lives on is gone. Our favorite bar (Florabama) gone. On the bright side, his boat is fine His captain took it up through Mobile Bay, up the river past the locks about a hundred miles, and they hardly had any weather at all.
