I put my deposit down on deuce #186 at Idaho Motor Pool today. Will most likely pick it up late fall. Can't wait! Thanks for all you guys' help in making my decision, it's great to be able to ask all the questions you can before getting in over your head

I forgot - congratulations! Man, the deuces are the coolest trucks ever. You're going to be so psyched.

By the way, try to get some sleep the night before you go pick it up. I know I couldn't. ;)

MM!

Congratulations!

Here is something to help you sleep at night!

Remember that these trucks were designed to be worked on in a combat situation!

They are relatively easy to work on!

First thing to do is go through ALL the tech manuals that you can get your hands on BEFORE you get the Deuce!

You won't regret it! One of the many perks is not having to worry about agressive drivers! If they try to be foolish just point at them and yell "Speed Bump!" and they get the picture quickly! But seriously, these trucks are a joy to drive. Everyone will know who you are and where you live and kids (at least here in Indiana) are always asking to go for a ride (and some vets too). Every time I pull in to a truck stop I plan an extra 30 minutes just to answer questions from the people there wanting to look at the truck. She's a beauty!

Buddy of mine had a chick lift her top while driving past his deuce on Hwy. 99 in Stockton. I used to have them do that all the time with my old Ford show truck, unfortunately never in the deuce.

Being married kinda puts the kabosh on hot chicks asking me for a date, but it never slows them down in asking about or getting photos with the truck! (Makes nice wallpaper and screen savers too!)
