What did I buy?

I need to find out what kind of Deuce that I have & the year for the sf-97. My truck is a 2 1/2 ton, vin number 04j56071. How do you find out the gvwr also. Is there some master list or ? Thanks!!!!

04J56071 is the hood number. Your VIN is a 9 digit one such as 0325-XXXXX. Report back with that and more info can be generated. Truck is most likely a 1971.

I bought it at gov liq. The vin # on there site was 04j56071-0525-22507. aution 3660 . I bought it oct 9. and picked it up last weds. ( its really cool!).It has a leak in the exhaust, but nice other than that! How do I make a donation? Thanks

Top of the page here, under the last S in steel soldiers. In the tool bar, you will see "donate".

If you want to be correct, do not go by the numbers that GL listed in the auction.
Post the numbers on your data tag on the passenger side of the dash. Should see a vin number listed there. It can be confirmed by matching it to the number stamped into the frame. search for "vin location frame" if you need more help finding it, say so.
