Hey guys, love the site. Just now joined. Was wondering if anyone knows if the military towbar is ok to use on the M809 series trucks or are they to heavy?? Thanks!!

Hmm, depends on what bar you have. If you have the medium towbar with the NSN ending in 6056 or 7094 then you can use it with an empty 5 ton. That bar is rated at 42,000# collapsed. Make sure you don't have the light tow bar and use the correct pins and adapters and you're set.
