Hey fella's was just wondering how hard its going to be to install the injector pump(drivers side of engine)from my old engine to the donor engine thats arriving today? I think i read somewhere about there being a timing notch or point on the gears to align up... any help is greatly appreciated...<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_cool.gif" alt="Cool">

It's not really a hard job ifyou don't have a heater installed, if you have a heater it does make the job much more difficult. The main thing, it's time consuming. There is a timing mark to keep your pump in line and timed correctly. I'll look and see which TM it was in, but it gives a great step by step of the process. Give yourself a whole day and y can do it, or plan on the whole weekend so you don't rush it. Might want to have a helper as that pump when taking it out and putting it in can be heavy and wakward.

Thank you dieselsmoke, actually the engine was delivered today it has the injector pump on it, the top part where the injector lines go in which are in the circle patter on top of the pump, that is what has to be replaced, my engine with the hole in block is going to make a great parts engine as everything was running fine on it, pumps ect....

Will try to take the pictures, i do not have a digital camera so that might be a problem. But the LDT engine is about complete, just needs starter, air compressor and a few more odds and ends from my busted block engine, which all the stuff works, pumps and injectors ect... I will either find another turbo or possibly a rebuild kit for the turbo. Plus in the deal was a LDS block with heads seperatly attached, with the lds block is it needs a oil pan(rusted through) and basically a full work over but that can come later as i can set that up in my basement as another project, looks like my father's pack rat days are over im needing the basement LOL...
