Re sizing pictures?

How can I resize my photos so they can be downloaded to a classified ad?

I think Microsoft Vista has it built in or if using Vista or XP you can use VSO Resizer (Google it).

It works well. Just use the free version and click past the buy it now screen.

Go to your picture in "PICTURES" on your computer, bring up pictures, Right click on it (THE PICTURE)and a window will appear, left click on edit and another window will appear with a bunch of actions to choose from, choose (SKUEW/STREACH) and another window will appear. You will have two boxes showing the %percentages% that the pictures are currently at it should be 100%, click on the top one and backspace two numbers, both zero's, leaving just the number 1 , then type in either 2 = 12% or 5= 15% but it is likely that they still may be a bit large, but close. it's more likely you will type in 10% in those boxes, top and bottom and having typed in the desired size (streach/skew) left click on OK, then the X in the top right where you go to full page or small page and exit page all togather and another window will pop up asking if this is the desired edit, level, left click on YES and NOW YOU HAVE FORMATED THE SIZE........Now to put them onsite.... click your picture (AVITAR) or if you hanen't posted an avitar yet, click on your name and you will be taken to profile. Look for ((manage attatchments)) then left click on that and a large window will appear with BROUSE, left click on it and it will automatically pull up your (PICTURES), choose a picture left click on it, you will imediatly see that you are back at the window with BROUSE, left click again and by this method you can add aditional pictures, when finished adding pictures to BROUSE, up on the top will be DOWNLOAD, left click on it and you will have added pictures to your profile. Now that you have those pictures in your profile you can left click on your AVITAR and wou will be able to choose a picture for your avitar, you will see the directions there. ...........Infact you will see the dirrections all along the way of this process start to finish. I know this is long-winded, but its not to difficult really. BETTER yet....... get your son or daughter to show you how, and about the third or so time you will have it down Pat.

Just go here, http://www.steelsoldiers.com/forum-tips-tricks/3999-tip-image-sizing.html and download this little plugin. Once up and running you just right click and select the size you want. It's so easy it's almost painful.

You can also download Picasa, it's a free photo editing software offered by Google, it's on their "dowloads" page, works very well and is easy to use.
