Gents,

We have a 1957 M52 with the Continental 6602 Gas engine. We are planning on using it to pull WW2 vehicles to events(Armoured cars, Halftrack, etc). I think the listed Over The Road tow weight was 30,000 lbs = approx 15 tons.

Engine stats ( From TM 9-2320-211-20):
Brake HP = 224 @ 2800 RPM
4 MPG
Torque - ?

Transmission=spicer 6252
1st =7.32
2nd =4.08
3rd =2.41
4th =1.43
5th = 1.00
Rev =7.33

Tires = standard 11 x20

I understand you have to subtract the actual weight of the empty trailer and that gives you what the load weight is you can put on the trailer.

What have others, with this setup, found for pulling weight?

Cheers,
David
