Hi I am new here and I own 2 cucv trucks.
(1) 1984 M1010 36000 miles on it.
(2) 1985 M1008 28000 miles on it.

This just started to happen.

When I drive my M1008 the #2 gen light starts flashing like a blinker while going down the road.
The amp gauge shows to be charging.
When I turn on the head lights or turn the heater blower on high only it stops flashing.
This only happens after 10 to 15 min.of driving.

Has this happen to any one else here?

Could some one please tell me should I check?

Thanks Kenny in San Antonio Texas

Kenny, I have had this problem with my 1009 for a year now. The alternator shop told me not to worry about it. They said most likely, the regulator is getting touchy, or the rectifier. Of course, I have the spare parts in the truck for it ;-)
