I am thinking about putting a kummins 250 in a 5 ton wrecker.
can anyone give me advice and specs on the kummins and trans.
does the 465 and kummins have a different trans?

Good news Rizzo, you can say cummins here... :) its only chat that censors it ;-)

What model 5 ton wrecker? the 800 series that the cummins engine came in was a longer front end than the 54 series. I would suspect you would have a hard time getting hte cummins in the 54 series truck...

the same trans, the frame for all the wreckers ie m62,m543, m816 are the same, the 809 series has a longer hood and side peices because the radatior was moved forward so the cummins will fit
