My Deuce on the road at last.....

Bought a M35 A2 W/W 1957 Kaiser Jeep with Multifuel whistling turbo.....Back in December last year, needed restoration, had been sat in a couple of fields for 10 - 11 years. Well 8 months on and a few hours hard work and thanks to information from this site, and a few of the members, it is now rolling. I have never worked on a Truck before, but found it easier than working on modern cars and motorcycles, I did not have to do any serious mechanical work, thankfully it just needed a good thorough service and brakes adjusted and handbrake rebuilt, couple of tyres, the work was in stripping it back to the metal (not the chassis) and re-painting the whole truck, new windscreen and a few holes patched up here and there, and a metal roof that had to be put on.
The work was both enjoyable and rewarding.
The best of it though, is driving it, it is noisy, bumpy, big, and a pig without power steering or air conditioning. The brakes are very good for what is an old design and the power is quite impressive for such a small bhp and heavy weight, but, the best thing by far is the howl from the turbo, this thing makes small children and old people cry, anyway, just wanted to say thanks to the guys who have helped and to this forum for being here with so much useful information, it would not have been possible to complete my task without this resource.......THANKYOU.

Yep, these trucks are big and intimidating, but they're so simple. In fact, ya don't even need batteries to drive them, I had one truck that I'd leave parked on the hill, bump start it and just make sure not to stall it anywhere Lol
