I have access to many drums of stale pump gas(aprox 6-12months old) hasnt started smelling like paint thinner yet, but i was planing on using it to cut WMO for filtering, im thinking like a 85% oil/ 15% gas mix. what do you all think?

They also have a few drums of 2-stroke engine oil that they said i could have also. since i dont know of any used 2stroke oil, im going to assume this stuff new. is there any reason that 2stroke oil may be better or worst to use?

Sorry for all the questions but i want to make sure that im not going to end up hurting something doing this, ive seen lots of threads about using gas, but i didnt see anyone using stale gas as a cutter.

thanks.

Ps - Anyone use there filtered WMO in Oil furnaces in there house?

The stale gas should be fine... So should the 2 stroke engine oil. 2 stroke oil is very highly refined. It is important that it burn cleanly, and not leave soot and ash in the engine.

Filter, mix, burn and then enjoy the satisfaction of free fuel :) I LOVE the looks on peoples faces when they ask me the miles per gal i get. Oh, its only about 10.....but i'm burning free fuel so whatever

Uh, i wouldn't use much gas. I KNOW that the cummins manual for the 6BT allow something like 10% gasoline in cold climates with no adverse effects. I would imagine it would be similar but who knows.
