jeep in the back of a deuce, but a truck.....?

anybody ever fit a Chevy truck in the back of a deuce, like a dropside probably? I want to put my shortbed "CUCV" in the back if need be. I'm thinking either the front bumper would need to come off, or an extension would need to be built. We'll see <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve"> are there longer beds available than 12' ?

I will be converting my deuce to a car hauler, and I'll be extending the bed (at an angle), as well as putting actual tie-points in the bed as frame extensions. The bed is a really bad vehicle hauler stock, so you'll need to make some mods if you want to safely haul a vehicle.

thanks. Is it bad mainly cause it's hard to load, or there is no real room to put your tie downs at the best points, or something else? From the looks of it, say I could get the truck on finding the right point for the chains and stuff would be impossible, they'd need to be underneath and at a very short angle, no?

The M36A2 is the long bed version of the M35A2. I believe Idaho Motor Pool has one (I don't know if they sold it yet or not). Just an idea.

you know, I think I saw that on their site and just asked about it- is it #186? It looks like it's got an awful long bed

I don't see it posted there anymore. Perhaps they sold it. Whomever got it got a real nice truck. You might want to call them and see........

no biggie, I just talked to Alex and #186 that I have my eye on is the standard 12' bed. Don't know if I'd be able to fit anyhting longer in my driveway!
