Sorting Classifieds

It sure would be great to be able to sort classified ads by location in addition to the other options.

This is a topic that has been reviewed extensively. I think the bottom line is that this site, for which we are charged the princely sum of $0.00 per month to use, is a labor of love. That labor comes when folks have the time to tackle new challenges.

I can't link you directly to the threads about the classifieds but maybe you can search them out... perhaps you've got the technical / programming know-how to improve the classifieds, if so I'm sure someone here would be interested in talking with you.

It would be great if people would submit in their ad, if something is for sale or wanted.

It is a site rule, to include your state in your personal info.(so with a little effort, you can figure out where the item advertised, might be.

Seriously though...I can bumble my way around the classifieds pretty well as is...and I'm bozo on the puter

O.K. I get the point.

I even hesitated about posting that observation because I thought it had probably been talked about before.

I do have some technical expertise in building web sites--I have done several for national organizations as well as smaller ones where I sell some products. I know these sites are a sink for your time as well as being costly in terms of server space, etc. This site is lucky to have volunteers to do all of that and they probably don't get recognized enough.

off topic but where in NM are you at?

I am in central NM between Tajique & Chilili. About 40 miles SE of Albuquerque on the east side of the Manzano Mountains.

I get up in your area quite often in the summer. We hold SCCA auto-x events in Farmington at the casino parking lot.
