my brother is looking at a 60's m35a2 with a turbo 465 and air shift front axle. tires are real good, bed is ok. it comes with an extra drop side bed, and allegedly ran. owner called back to say he cant get it running as no diesel is getting from the injector pump out....... so he was asking 1500. now he says he will "substantially" lower the price. he wants it gone.

how much??? 500??

also how much for an injector pump?
how hard is a nhc 250 swap????? i put a 4bt in my m715, and am not scared of fabrication, just curious. my buddy with a 3408 cat said he would probably NOT do it again with a cat

Where are you located? After the New year, I'm going to pull my old diesel engine. If you're interested and you want to start with mine, I'd happily swap for a few extra dollars...

hey here is a good deal on a whole motor, you even get lots of extra parts for later for less than you could buy a pump for or maybey work out a deal on just the pump. the 250 cummins wont fit all that well in a 2/ 1/2 ton because the front end is way shorter than the 5 tonner they came in . i had to cut awfuly hard to get the after cooler to go with a 5.9. the next problem would be weight and tranny then the length. some one has a 3406 in a 2 1/2 ton? thats one big motor, had to be in a 5 ton

heres a link to it

Hey Lee,
Doug Cook knows a guy that put the 250 Cummins in a deuce and loves it! You may want to track him down and see if he can give you a number to the guy or something.

Trango,
What are you looking to get for the injection pump? I need a p/n 10935264 pump (non-turbo). Have extra cash and need before the wife finds it.

Thanks for the interest, but I actually just received a call this morning from a gentleman who's interested in the whole running takeout, so I'll be doing that in February, as soon as I spitpolish my rockcrawler and prep the 3208.

Cheers
Bob

did you mean 3208? i know a 3408 wouldnt fit, thats over 1000 cubic inches, a 3408 being a V-8 verson of a 3406. they use the same bore/stroke combo i wouldnt say not to use a "cat" again Personaly i have had nothing but good luck with CAT but the 3208 is just one of those things that are just left dead

I think I'mthe buddy there. Yeah, 3208, it was difficult fit with steering and big fat V8 design. Would probably repower again with inline CAT or Big Cam Cummins. The big V was difficult, but I'm REALLY please with the results!!!

**really...I think I just want a truck with a JAKE on it sometime so I can rumble down to stops.

It looks like the DT 466 is electronic from what I read. Is that incorrect? Does it need a computer brain?
