what body style for m1009 sf97?

There are some possibilities: As I got my M1009 in 1992 it was declared to be a BUS, however, it seems to be more logical to call it a passenger car or a SUV or a light duty truck, which is ther closesed to the emmission label. Hope this helps.

"Utility" is the designation for the 1009.
The M1008 and other similar is Cargo.
I can not answer for the ambulance version.

Edit: Per the TM and the description for the M1009 National Stock Number it is "Truck, Utility"
