5 Ton air filter

How can you tell if your air filter is washable or a junker. I looked at my air filter for the first time since I got the truck and it is a little dirty is there a mark or something that will let you know you can wash it without damaging it. It just looks like a paper filter like one out of your car.

No mark I know of, but the stocks ones are washable until perforated. Use a bucket, soapy water, and up & down agitation. Rinse with a hose on low pressure, no squirting at it. Shake as much water out as you can, don' blow it with an air hose. Let it dry in the sun or a warm room. Then stick a trouble light in and rotate looking for holes. If OK, put it back in and go.

They last for years and LOTS of miles. That is good, as they are not cheap.
