Hey all, just a reminder for you Unimog folk. I still have my 404 for sale in the classifieds. It's listed at $5000.

I would entertain trade offers as well. I would prefer a partial trade with cash difference since I am trying to squirrel some money away to buy the Mrs. a diesel Benz commuter car since her Escort died in the driveway.

So, if you would like a Mog 404 and have a M35, M37, M715 that's worth around $3000 or so and can pony up the $2000 difference, send me a PM or email please. Trades would need to be titled, running and driving.

That way daddy gets to keep a green truck in the driveway and mama gets a commuter car. Everyone's happy :D

Yeah, we've been down that road before. She drove mine a couple of times. She requires a little more creature comforts and shiny paint :D

She made specific instructions: no camo, no OD regardless of sheen, no M-series, no military vehicle nothin, which is fine. She has her hobbies, cooking and decorating. I've got mine. I finally have her talked into a diesel though. She really likes the looks of the classic 80's MB sedans. 30mpg+, engine life 300k miles+, solid, cushy, etc...

sounds like time for a compromise. A nice Swiss army surplus Mercedes G-wagon might turn her head. I know my wife would drive that type of military vehicle in a heartbeat.
One of our members just sold his very, very clean Swiss army 404 Unimog for $16K. He had the truck looking really nice and everything was working in tip top shape.

Ooooh, I'd be all over that G-wagon, especially a diesel variant. Just got to teach her how to drive a stick shift :D

$16K??!! I wish! Mine is a great runner, but it needs the rusty bedsides fixed, the whole thing smoothed out, and then some fresh OD. It could be a beaut with some time and money. I planned on a total resto this year, but crap happens.

Sean at Eurotruck has a really nice Gwagon diesel for sale right now. He always seems to get some nice G's in. One of the members of SWPA had an exswiss Gwagon 4dr (kind of rare in the military application) He sold it before I could see it offroad.

Here are a couple of pics of the Mog that was just sold. It had new tops installed and all the gadgets made to work. He also did some wood work tothe bed and seats. I don't know how the Mog stayed in such nice shape for all the years but it was almost show room ready.

Mike, I showed my wife the pics of the g-wagens on Sean's site and she really liked them. Maybe we can scrimp and save enough to get her one. Wouldn't have to worry about her losing it in the parking lot amongst all the cute-utes! :D

Sean is one of those guys that will help you find what ever it is you need. He has helped me with some of my unique projects on my Pinz. I don't think I have ever seen a bad thing written about him.

Hey Gang,
The Mog drove off with a new owner last night. A nice father and son team from Newport News took it home. Maybe we'll get some new SS members out of the deal too. I had it listed here, there and everywhere and it was actually CraigsList that sold it in a matter of 2 days.
