Year of manufacture

Just bought my 5th govplanet truck, the first one that did not show a year model (or at least their best guess). I've searched through the forum and a few other sources but I can't find information on one this high. It's a M1097A2 with serial number 3948619. It has a NA 6.5 and a 4 speed.......2010? Maybe newer? Thank you in advance.

you might check the date code on the engine block (if the truck hasn't gone through rebuild) to see when it was made. Would have to be that year or newer.

Pull the doghouse and check behind the passenger side cylinder head for the block numbers.

Thank you very much! Still waiting for it to get released but I agree that will get me in the ballpark......I was just curious because it seems that the serial number is one number too long.

May have original 6 digit serial number or date?

Wow...not much usable data on that "data" plate!
All the other ones I've seen have the original serial number to give you a ballpark age from the date list in the stickies

It looks like there may be another plate above the IROAN.......but there is no picture of that. Maybe I will luck out there, if not, engine date code it is!
