Ah, That makes sense on the ceramic connector. I had sorta thought that because the At1011 set up I have on the Harris base with the tilt adapter just has a screw on the bottom and had a broken off ring terminal. No coaxial or bnc or tnc connections. I tried to hunt down a Harris Rf-382 tm or manual but best I could find is a $35 cd scan of one from Israel which I passed on...

I do have a cover fortunately that came with the set up.

I do see 2 antenna tnc? connectors, one by the ceramic cone and one on the opposite side by the control cable plug. Can this thing have 3 antenna's connected to it at one time?
I know this subject is old, but I came back here looking for installation photos that I remembered seeing a couple years ago. I just picked up an RF-382A-015, the shock mount, and the cabling for it. I'm very close to having a full 150W HF system in my HMMWV. Literally three small cables away and some common mounting hardware. To better answer some of these questions now that I have the knowledge:
  • The coupler can only attach a single antenna at a time. The connector by the power/control connector is the input. It uses an N-type connector with 50 Ohm cable. RG-213 is a common choice, but there are many that can work. The cone connection is for use with random wires and any type of unmatched antenna, including the AT-1011 you have. The manuals will specify exactly what kind of loads it can handle. The connector under the spring-loaded is lever is also an N-type connector, which is meant exclusively for connecting an HF connector with a 50 ohm impedance. You'll notice a click as you push it open...that's a switch telling the coupler to use that connector instead of the ceramic cone.
  • To connect the AT-1011, use a very high voltage insulated cable (5-7kV) with ring terminal attached. Barring any specialized cable, You can take a piece of high-voltage coaxial cable and strip off the outermost insulation and braided shielding immediately below it, attach ring terminals, and install in-place. This will give you the high voltage protection you need without the signal issues you'd get from running coaxial cable on what will behave as part of the antenna itself. Additional note: this should be made as short as possible. Less than 2 feet is preferred.
  • I have this manual in physical form and electronic form. I should be able to send over a copy of the electronic manual if you still need it.

My driver's commander seat bottom cover started to fray so I was on the hunt for a fix.

I found the oe covers but did not want to take apart and mess with the hog rings. Also think the oe fabric is on the thin side. Also saw some on ebay and one of our members also offers them.

I saw these slip on covers from black mountain who is a defense contractor on ebay and went for it. I used a mole panel on the back previously and liked that they had one built in.

Seat has to be removed but no big deal. 4 nuts and 4 bolts. Fit perfectly and I like the coyote color and fabric feels like an upgrade. Other colors available. Vendor threw in a freebie on another item he was clearing out.

I will upgrade other 3 seats as needed when they fray.

Nice. Just from the picture, the seat almost looks like the same seat as the LMTV's.

I had already installed the swiss cheese rear antenna tower on the right I got from American Milspec years ago when I first got my truck. I have only seen these on the trucks southern steel was scrapping. Theirs had a short swiss cheese mount on the left also. They were busy and shorthanded when I had visited so they were not able to pull one for me. I had seen beltfed list a short swiss cheese left side but failed to grab it before it sold.

I had also not seen any models of HMMWV with these pictured mounts. Not sure what radio set they go to.

Beltfed listed a tall swiss cheese for the driver's side which I had never seen pictured or listed anywhere so I did not hesitate to send an offer and grab it.

Matches the other side perfectly.

I have seen the bogert jacks on ebay but never had bid as they seemed to go for more money than I wanted to invest...

Recently got one in my price range with an extra pump and 2 extra pump ground brackets. :) Doubt I would afford the $3K uncle pays.

Jack appears new or hardly used. Just one scratch. The pump was shipped without oil and it just took ounces to fill. Nice plug with built in dipstick.

This thing is a beast, impressive, and really well engineered. The jack bracket also serves as a depth guide for clearance. The remote pump with hose takes the risk factor out. Easy to use hydraulic jack and pump up. The hydraulic coupler and swivel fitting are top notch and easy to connect. This unit screams quality and is solid. I have it jacked up as a leak check to make sure there is no slow leak but holding great after 8 hours. Heavy and I would not hesitate to get under my truck with a jack stand as back up.

For the off roaders out there, You should really look at one of these units.

I needed the black bag and contacted the Manufacture. Prompt reply from the owner and he had new bags for $110 and used bags for $35. Impressed I got a reply as most military cage suppliers don't even want to talk to individuals let alone sell directly.

That's neat! Looks a lot like a Porta-Power and the quick connect makes it so you can do a lot other things with it. Not sure that is a great price - but at least there is a name to look at...

Yes sir, I think that type of hydraulic set up is the heart of the system .

I saw a bogert on ebay without the pump. I was real tempted as it was an infrequent poster here but lives in New Orleans. I started looking at pumps and couplings but took too long and it was gone....

Person I got if from said he used the pumps in his electrical business but went in a different direction.

I have one of these in my m923 battery box and very happy with it.

This is a sealed weather tight fuse box with 12v & 24v separate taps, storage for extra circuit breakers, and a battery pulse desulfating board. An external battery test panel and a large solar panel can also be used with it. Originally designed for hmmwv and fits in the battery box perfectly in place of the first aid kit. I just moved mine under the commander's seat into the base.

I bought off epay reasonable and got the one with the bag of hardware, 12 & 24v circuit breakers, & tube of dielectric grease. 24V circuit breakers are easy to id as they are reset buttons and the color of the button is the amperage.

On the hunt for the solar panel but rarely see those listed separately.

4 bolts, tap the 2 batteries, and negative terminal. Easy and gives If I remember 6 fused 24v taps and 4 12v taps. I installed a radio grommet in the side of the battery box to run the cables. I already had a grommet for the radios so I used that to run the battery tester cable up to mount horizontal on my Radio tray under a vic3 crew box. The inside of the fuse box has a red flashing led to let you know the battery desulfating board is working. It pulses with or without the solar panel.

Cool stuff that cost uncle a few dimes.

I have it in the battery box as the big cable leads are not long enough to mount it elsewhere without chopping the cables or using some type of junction block.

Never seen a pic of one installed by the military, so not sure....
