This is for the Hmmwv M1167 slant back, armored variant but also fits other Hmmwv models. Up for sale is an exhaust tube assembly that is manufactured by AM General. Item's are in excellent new condition.

Just a note of caution that they do not fit a truck with no armour. They will need to be modified and stick out much further out from fender.

I do have a correct used one in New Orleans but will not ship if anyone is visiting the big easy.

Any one have a good diagram or parts link for the diagonal supports that attach to the c pillar, the soft top has space for them. Trying to figure out their importance and or function ?

I had to get my sons RAM 2500 out of the mud he was very stuck in. He buried up to the body and my HMMWV and a tractor couldn't get him out. I destroyed a 12,000 lb winch and winch plate trying to get it out. So I designed and built my own winch plate and got a 17,500 lb winch and that got him out. I strapped the back of my truck to a tree and pulled him out. I was very impressed with my results.

Snatch block is in the truck (20,000 lb). I didn't have to use it to get my son out but I had it if I needed to.

You just said you didnt need the snatchblock to get the dodge out of the mud? Earlier you stated that you ruined a 12k winch and winch plate trying to get him out. Why wasnt the snatch block used before the winch was broken? Then you designed and acquired the heavier winch, while the dodge was left in the mud?

So now He knows what one can't walk into into it then one should not drive into it?

My question exactly. I don't even have a winch, but carry two snatch blocks, recovery straps and fancy rope.

No remote control needed. Just a little brain power, CAMO

The 12,000 lb I believe failed due to the weak winch plate which was why I built one out of 1/4" steel. It had started moving when the plate gave way so I believed (correctly) that 17,500 should do it. Yes the Dodge had to stay there until I had means to get it out (a hard lesson for him doing without his truck, lol). It is out now and we checked all fluids and seals.

Yes a tough lesson but one he did not have to learn as his dad (me) told him not to go down there because his uncle had a tractor stuck twice that I pulled out with my HMMWV. And of course he waits til I'm out of town to try and see if I was right. This time he is paying the stupid tax.

17,500 lb winch is overkill as I believe the 12k would have done it with a better plate. I didn't see the need for the snatch block this time. It pulled out fine once I got the heavy duty plate built. I was even using a spare battery on the ground to pull power from. It wasn't even being charged. But I don't disagree I could have used a snatch block.

installed new insulated headliner. 1/2” rigid foam insulation with heavy utility grade cotton fabric. I was just going to do the foam for the winter but it squealed unbearably. The cloth ended the squealing and looks much better.

Did you spray glue the fabric to the Insulation? Looks real good.

I used the 3m spray adhesive on both the foam and the back of the fabric. Any wrinkles were easily smoothed over with just my hands.

Fun with Run Flat removal. Did the first one with a come along and then my Father in Law reminded me I had a winch on the truck.

And landed here

Last pick shows why you keep a safe distance when using power tools to do the hard work. Run Flat jumped 15 feet when it broke free from the tire.
And my better half finished my seat covers. Made from old BDU blouses.
