I was told awhile ago that the boxes, bows, canvas on the earlier M211 trucks is exactly the same as the M35 series with the exception of the cab? I am looking into having a local canvas shop do the canvas for the cargo area because of the insane price of canvas from other companies and shipping? Does anybody know the exact size, grummet locations, ect., or know where I can find out this information on the canvas. Thanks.

this is the closest I came to that info:

apparently it's a heavily guarded industry secret <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve"><img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">

you'll need to do a little math, but from my calculations and seeing pictures, it is a finished size of 14'8" x 18'7". A nice 15x20 should fit nicely. AGAIN, these are my calculations and can't confirm.

Wouldn't the M211/M135 cargo covers be the same as the early M35's? Uncle is notorious back then for not changing anything he could avoid. The cab paulins will, of course be different, but you shouldn't be out more then $450.00 for labor plus yardage on the canvas. I had an S404.114 Unimog cab paulin made with new side curtains, all custom, and it ran about $450.00 and materials, with a lot of hand work in the rivetting.....And when you're done, Cabella's "Canvak" will be your freind if you want a watertight cover......:p

Good luck, and cheers,

I thought the club guys were getting 300 ? thats what i paid for cancas, and I have brand new vinyl for 300 too. cargo covers...The new life and weebee people will just do a better job and it will fit and it is my opinion an outside person can not do the same with the correct material, but there is always the exception..good luck, If U call one of them they will have the answer since they make em for the hobby and both trucks, u would get the correct answer also...
