Yipaa! Big storm comin through, gotta haul the last remains of my chevy pickup to the dump! Unfortunately, I also have to weld a firewall onto my custom frame and it doesn't fit in the garage, but that said, I am excited about running around in the deuce! First snow run for my baby!

Thought you guys could share the excitement.

I want a full report on how she does- I heard those NDT's were less than desireable in the snow We've had a few storms pound us early and I left her home! drive slow

Alas the roads stayed clear. I gotta wait until the BIGGUN hits and then go hit some parking lots to do the snowy skidpad test with the NDT's!

With NDTs (on a closed course, of course) switch off the front axle, put it in second gear with just light throttle. I can get mine to do doughnuts all day long. They are slow motion too. You need to try it to get a feel for what happens. I take snowy corners a lot slower now.

ho-ho-hoh BABY!!!!! yup, we got 6 inches here on the valley floor. I admit on Saturday we didn't go play in the deuce, I actually spent the day playing in the truck then replacing my malfunctioning hubs
but yesterday I decided to see how the deuce does in 2 wheel (I pulled the rear axle) with 10 NDT tires. Not bad I must say. As long as you're not cocked (like twisted going into a driveway) it will get going on just about anything. If not, back it up a bit and go forward and she's rolling again. It's not a question of if it will make it, but when!

Then I wanted to see if it would stop OK being 14,000 pounds and all. I got going in a parking lot full of ice and slammed the brakes, but to my surprise she stopped very quickly, seemed quicker than on dry road even We drove around and every stop I came to I tried to slide it, but she's quite stable I am impressed. For two wheel it wasn't bad at all, she does better than my Chevy in 2 wheel.
I'll try to upload my clip of me coming to a sliding stop.

I did get stuck trying to do a 30 point turn backing into my driveway. It's a real narrow street and I had it blocked of for a few minutes while I rocked back and forth and finally made it out (got hung up on the dreaded curb)

When you get a chance, run outside, flop down on your back, and make me a "snow angel"!

We got 4 inches of snow last wed. night, but it turned to rain and melted!

Life is hard and cruel!

Reno's usually the same way- big storm then within hours it's sunny and most has melted. We're lucky to see snow on the ground for more than a few days. Not this time though, the remnants of this should be around for a while. We hit a record low of 3 degrees last night in the valley and there's lots of the stuff left- it's just all rock hard ice now, hit it with a tire and it's like a speed bump

MM!

Well ok, if it is rock hard we don't want you to hurt yourself!

I'll just have to get the full time gearhead from Colorado to make me a "snow angel"

He will have nice soft, fluffy snow, so he won't get hurt!

No Way! I was in the garage last night TIG'ing together a stainless fuel cell. The temp outside was 5º - funny how I didn't want to work on the inside-the-garage jobs until now. ;)

36 degrees here and I'm whining. I HATE COLD..guess working outside in Colorado 7 days a week for 6 years had something to do with that. I remember pouring concrete 17 below one time, way too cold but the contractor wanted it done so we made him sign a waiver. Got paid to remove and replace it in the spring LOL.
