    Several Cranks To Start Cause?

Where is the squeal coming from? The belt on my Deuce is just slightly too big. On occasion, I get a horrible squeal on start-up. But it doesn’t last long.

    starting question

Yes, sir. I’ve read the operator’s manual cover to cover, although it has been several years. Re-reading it certainly won’t hurt!

@Floridianson, what is the hydro lock check?

    Hello from a Yankee transplant-to-be!

Howdy from just north of Houston. It’s always nice to have another MV enthusiast in the neighborhood (so to speak). And speaking of cold weather, this was the view from my front door Monday morning >>> We typically have a rally in College Station, Texas every March. Last year was canceled...

What have you done to your 10 ton this week?

Less leg room than a Deuce? Do you have any pictures from inside the cab?

    Oil pressure averages

Clint, I read your install thread on that. I like how it came out!

    Simp's M920 build thread

Dumb question: What does a rail pressure gauge measure? What is rail pressure?
  13. m715mike

    Low/no oil pressure

@simp5782, thank you, sir! That is so simple even a m715mike can do it! ha ha

    Low/no oil pressure

Wes, where do you get the parker pushlok fittings and hose? Can you buy that at a local parts store, or do you get it online?

    Oil pressure averages

I know this is an old thread... I've read a few of them. It seems that low oil pressure is common on the 8.3L. I have the opposite problem. I fired-up the M936A2 yesterday. It idled for a few minutes with the gauge showing 60 psi of oil pressure at cold idle. After a few minutes of idling...

Two and a half tons and lifts

What is the benefit of having a four post lift like that? Is it simply to prevent you from crawling on the ground or getting on a creeper? I’m not trying to be a smart a$$... I’ve never had the opportunity to use a lift and don’t know what the benefit is. It seems that everything I’ve needed...

Two and a half tons and lifts

Not a two post lift, but Northern Tool used a bobber in their advertisement for a four post lift. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mv-spotted-thread.62008/post-1848686

anyone ever moved a steering tube "up" on an m35a2 dash panel?

I have never sat in a spring seat, only box seats. I’m 6’1” and have no trouble fitting comfortably (read plenty of leg room) on the box seat. Now, pain in my lower back after a long drive is a different story.

    It's been a long time

@anjay22, welcome back to SS. I hope you and your family are doing well! I bet your kids have grown quite a bit. Don’t think I’ll be much help locating an engine, but remind me, is it going in a M35A2?
