VICTORY IS MINE!!!
I started this in February. So over it.
I tried multiple methods of enlarging the hole from 1.60" to ~1.70". My most recent attempt yesterday was a rotary rasp on my drill press. I did absolutely nothing. So I decided it was time to just cut about 0.25" off the top. I...
Sorry for the slow response to this thread. I'm tackling several projects at once and I tried these bushings last weekend. I wanted to make sure I included photos with this. I ordered a pair of Energy Suspension 41.5002R that I found on eBay and Amazon (shown in a link earlier in this thread)...
From TM 9-2330-394-13&P, I'm showing two NSNs for the bushing. I'm assuming that's for a primary and a suitable sub. They are as follows: 5342-01-483-2293 (part number 12442831) or 5342-01-369-0893 (part number 12417623). Do you also need the SMR Code or CAGEC? The nomenclature is "MOUNT...
Hadn't forgotten. He's not currently making these. I wasn't trying to derail his business venture. He and I have talked and he won't be able to make a custom set for me for quite a while. Plus, you can always drill and a tap for a zerk. It was one of my very first jobs in the first machine...
I couldn't either. Found it online by chance. And the engineer at Energy Suspension didn't tell me about it on the phone. Fingers crossed the seller gets back to me soon on those outer dimensions and they are compatible. $37 seems cheap enough but I'd rather wait a few days to hear back. I...
This is a very reasonable assumption. I like your train of thought with the Gillig bushing you found on eBay, however I may have found something slightly better. A few sellers carry the Energy Suspension 41.5002R (R or B just means Red or Black) that claims to have a 1.625" inner diameter. I...
I was expecting you to bring this up...the engineer at Energy Suspension raised the same concern. I just went out to my trailer and remeasured the sway bar diameter using a set of dial calipers. 5 samples per side, or 10 samples total. Note that it does have paint on it. I knocked debris off...
I'll admit I haven't worked with polyurethane much. Could I potentially drill or ground out the inner diameter to get it to fit on the sway bar? The height is pretty close but the length is 1.25" extra...shouldn't be a big deal though.
Awesomeness, I just replied to your last PM from months ago. I'm in need of a set of M1082 bushings. Took me a while to tear into it finally. I measured my sway bar at 1.67" and the retainer has dimensions of 2.75" tall x 2.75" wide.
Cummins allows up to 5% blend of oil for the purposes of improving lubricity. If you can filter your WMO to 2-micron or better and can meet several other factors (for example Cummins Service Bulletin 3379001), then go for it. However, expect a quicker attrition of fuel filters, SCR, and...
I was able to get all I needed for a braided line at the Parker Store. I walked in with parts in hand and walked out with a new line for my bobber rear axle. Since I needed to get rid of the tee, instead of getting a plug, they just gave me a 90 bend to connect to the frame hard line...
$500 extra for a variable freq drive? Do you think there would be a significant difference in clean oil quality between the basic and extreme models? I mean the extreme has double the speed, but maybe 3450rpm is good enough. That would drop the price down to $1500. Also, their website claims...
I would vote for joint ownership. Divide the cost among however many want to join. What is on my mind though is since I'm active duty military, I have 14 months left on station then I'm moving elsewhere. I'd want to sell my portion to the next guy or back to the crowd. Or if it's something...
