Go on into Dickson on Hwy. 46 untill you run into Hwy. 70. Go west on 70 to Buckner Park. Take a right at Buckner Park and the gas station is just past the RR tracks on the left. PM me if you want more detailed directions.
You wouldn't happen to live on Hwy. 7 about the Natches Trace would you...
I would assume that your axel is either a Dana 60 or a Dana 44 or possibly a 10 bolt 3/4 ton, which takes the same socket as the 44. Anyway, I got both of my sockets from NAPA.
Kinda off subject a little, I've had to jump off my duce with bubba's M1008 and I had to get creative on hooking jumper cables up to the jumper hook-up in the grille of the 1008. Is there a purpose made cable for this?
Re: RE: LDT question
That's what I was gonna say. my bubba's cucv M1008 has to use glow plugs. I never knew there was that much of a difference in comp ratios between light trucks and med-heavy duty stuff. Thanks for the insight.
This is probably a stupid question, but am I correct in thinking the multi-fuel engines have no glow plugs? If that's true, how do they start as good as they do considering they have no source of pre-heat, save for a manifold heater if equipped. Sorry for the "newbie" question, but it will...
anyone know anything about putting a dump kit, be it homemade or a production kit, on their duce? I think it would make the truck so much more versitile.
Thanks for all the replies! I learn something everyday from you guys. I had been ideling the truck and puttin around in it when the problem surfaced. I got 'er out today and ran the $#!t out of it and the more it ran, the less it smoked, and finally quit alltogether. Also I had no idea that...
Re: RE: M35 engine help
That's what I was thinking untill I saw all the oil residue in the exhaust manifold. If it turns out to be the turbo, where would be the best place to get a "c" turbo and if it's the valve seals, where could I find those? Thanks for the help.
I believe the valve seals are leaking on my LDT465. I have noticed more blue smoke than usual and oil began to leak from the turbo housing. I removed the turbo and saw there was oil all up in the manifold. My thought is leaky valve seals due to me not running it on a weekly basis, atleast...
