I dug these up on the above site. Most of the pic links are dead, but the spec sheet are still there. I am beginning to think there are two model versions of the CUCVII then they changed the name to LSSV. They seem to be making a few of these every year. I don't think our gov is buying very...

Took a little digging but I finally found this: http://web.archive.org/web/19991104220236/http://www.gmmilitary.com/ Some of the links still work for more details.

They have moved the pics to the AM General site: http://www.amgeneral.com/vehicles_lssv.php

There are CUCVII and maybe CUCVIII then GM changed the name to LSSV. Here is a link to the TM's for these. http://www.gmfleet.com/government/products/GMDefense.jsp?navSec=products They used to have pictures on the GM web site but I can't find any right now. If you find any you like you...

    boiling batteries.

I believe that you should see 14.4 to 14.6 volts at each battery. Anything less than 14 is undercharging. Be sure to use a quality digital voltmeter. From the TM20: VOLTMETER IN RED (OVERCHARGE) ZONE (ALL EXCEPT M1010) Step 1. Start engine. Check voltage at left and right alternators at...

    '05 ambulance CUCV 4 sale

RE: Thanks for the post! I truly appreciate it. I consider ambulances and field medical gear to be my collecting niche. If I had the money I would buy this without question. At least I was able to download the pics and description. Unfortunately I don't have $60,000.00 (my wife said I...

    Decoding CUCV Vin numbers

This is my final version of this. I bought service manuals on eBay but they turned out to be medium duty truck instead of light duty truck manuals. Must be why they were so cheep. :) 1st digit = Nation of Origin -- 1 = USA 2nd digit = company -- G = General Motors 3rd digit = division -- B...

You could try the other dealers within driving distance. The amount of markup varies from dealer to deale or so I have been toldr. Were they asking full list were you tried? I have never ordered anything from GM direct so I don't know about hidden charges.

what's the cheapest way to insure?

It is good to decode the vin number yourself. Somebody at DRMO may have misread it, you may be calling it an 85 when the vin says 86 etc.

what's the cheapest way to insure?

I will be putting the finishing touches on my vin decoding thread next week when my civi service manual I bought on ebay comes in. I plan to scan the page in the manual that decodes the vin as part of the post. It might say you some time to take a copy with you.

    Watermark - Decision

RE: Re: RE: Watermark - Decision I voted against the watermark because I think it detracts from some of the pictures. I definitely didn't think Mike had any bad intentions. I already assumed that submitting a photo to the site gave SS certain legal uses of it. I am of the old school...

M105 Is Home From Ft. Riley

Perhaps this is a dead horse. I did a search for "posting auctions" and found several threads in the last couple of months that I had missed. It is obvious that there are 4 or 5 people that are strongly opposed to any auctions being listed before they close.

M105 Is Home From Ft. Riley

Is this really a dead horse? I admit I have only been on this site full time for the last few months, however I was on the MV mailing list for 10 years. I don't remember this ever coming up there. I guess I posted to prove that there were people who saw nothing wrong with rumplecat's post...

M105 Is Home From Ft. Riley

I don't see anything wrong with pointing out an unusually nice MV that one might see. It might help someone on the list find a nice truck they are looking for. And if it makes someone else on the list pay more for it then so be it. On the other hand, I would not talk about something I was...
