Is the deuce the only truck that uses this Continental motor? I thought other antique medium-duty civilian trucks used it too :unsure: But I don't know of any off-hand.

I think so. I believe parts for the old Continental truck motors are pretty scarce these days, so a running example would be valuable for someone restoring a truck with one of these.

I don't believe the gearing in A3 axles is different. The lower top speed is because the automatic transmission doesn't have an overdrive.

Rub where, the tread between the tandem axles? I have 395s on my truck and they don't rub their tread against each other. 395s are 46" tires. I think 12.00R20s are 43 or 44 inches.

Yep! But what about how they make the truck handle compared to the stock tires, besides higher speed? Would one notice some of the same effects @Hummer Guy mentioned?

How about the 12.00R20? Does it help that it's narrower than a 365 or 395 but as tall as a 365? 43" diameter.

I believe that's the tank air pressure safety relief valve. It might've been sticking open for some reason. You may want to consider replacing it. There was an MWO to apply a safety relief valve at the compressor as well.

My first course of action would've been to take the truck back to the shop and make them redo it at proper torque. If they're going to be jerks about it then I'd leave them a bad review on Google and go elsewhere. Personally I just do it myself. I have a Chinese cast-iron 64:1 torque...

How much grease should I expect to put into driveshaft slip joints? I've given them about six pumps each with a manual grease gun and I don't see anything coming out anywhere. Should I just keep dumping grease into the slip joint until it comes out somewhere?
