If it is like the one on the A3 it is a little switch pop rivited to the handle. Power comes from the main switch to a LED light on the dash then to the switch then to ground. The light has two wires, one with power the other to the switch.
Just for the record, some things I have found to my liking on the A3:
Dual airpack brake system
E-brake "On" warning light on the dash
Bed tie downs
Auto tranny
Brake master cylinder real easy to check and fill
Great driver's seat (same old crappy passenger bench though)
Cab sound insulation...
I have both, I love both. Kind of like asking what oil is best- you will get a lot of answers that may or may not be helpful.
The Cat engine and Allison transmission is very impressive, also the newer components on the A3 are great. Still, I love the feeling of history when I get in the A2.
Gimpy has it right! Just did one and it took a lot longer than it should have. It seems so simple to look at it, just does not go together like it looks.
The cable is a PITA where it goes into the cab, the adjustment is not too much fun. I kind of designed a long extension to my battery...
It pours like a heavy syrup. My guess is if you plan to use the winch daily or weekly just repair the seals and use the specified lube. For occasional use cornhead is a nice shortcut.
I put it in and used the same as the LO specified. I think it was 16 oz in the smaller side and 20 in the larger side. I think the tubes are 16 oz? So I used 2 and about a third of another.
That was in the spring so far so good.
Your winch is a complete unit, and all you need to do is put in the long shoulder bolts, right? If so you probably have to loosen all the frame extension nuts and bolts to get her back in.
It is always wise to preview but...
even with that clause in the lot, you may or may not be able to schedule a preview. Lots of the GL field staff are great and cooperative, but most are overworked and some are, well, you know. rofl
Even if you do preview you are limited to what you can do...
