2 month old split axle boots

TY. I wasn't clear that the guard plate could be removed without further disassemby.

2 month old split axle boots

How much do you have to take apart to install a zippered boot? Or can it be done without removing anything?

Front axle seals and boots stepXstep

Gotta leave the campsite better than you found it, so my one question will be followed by two tips: Question: If you use zipper boots, can you add grease to the hub from the rear? Tip 1: If you use the 'shock' method of removing a tapered shank, like a ball joint or whatever, yes use a BFH...

    Towing and road side assistance

I just read the AAA towing terms and conditions and I do not see any exclusions for a commercial vehicle (which I find hard to believe). Has anyone used AAA to tow their Deuce?

1971 Deuce with correct paint completed

Really nice and I am now sold on the 24087. These are the Deuces I remember so this is what mine will eventually look like. CatMan, did you shoot primer and if so, which one?

    Deuce Running Again

Congratulations!! I envy you the sound of that whistler. Mine has a 'D', and it is the only thing I would change on my truck.

    Painting bolts

This is how the antique car restoration folks do it: prime the bolts and nuts but don't topcoat. Topcoat all of the components: axles, etc. Assemble. Now use a small brush and paint the fasteners.

    Soda Blaster

I have had the HF unit for some time. It works fine but, as a cheap unit, has drawbacks. First of all, it is a pain to load. It will take a while. (I buy soda in bulk bags from a swimming pool supply store.) The drier the air, the better. There seemingly is always some clumping at the...

    Finished WMO filter 2nd video

Can house filters withstand oil without the filter material breaking down? I agree that adding valves, tees and so on is not a big deal in terms of labor or materials, but adds a great deal of versatility and utility.

    Insurance??

LOL, my regular insurer just bailed, per their home office. I will go with Hagerty.

    Deuce Seating Position

14E? Heck, those are ballerina slippers. My feet are size 16 EEEE.

    Deuce Seating Position

Yes, that is definitely on the list.

    Deuce Seating Position

Today I had a few minutes to spare so I moved the pedals using the notches. There are three notches on the clutch and brake pedals. With a 9/16" you can remove the cinch bolt from underneath and wiggle the pedals down. I did not pick up as much as I would have liked (this adjustment moves the...

    Insurance??

Here's where I am so far: My regular insurer - 500K liability and nothing else - ~$800 a year (they see this as a regular commercial vehicle as if I was running a business) Hagerty - 500K liability plus their standdard fire/theft/collision stated value - ~ $80/year (limited use, of course)...

    Insurance??

No, I got my Deuce from a private individual who got it (not sure how) from the PA National Guard. Thanks for the info - your response plus those of the others greatly help. And yes, it sure seems an odd question to ask. I guess it is an indication that this is uncharted territory for my insurer.
