The PTO doesn't engage in Neutral. It engages with the engine off, or in 1-5 while not moving. (or creeping forward.).
Not sure about the rest, but interested what others have to say.
PTO was a pain. I updated some thread with the exact steps it took to get it aligned. Can be done w/o moving transmission.
Everything else was fairly painless. Since I got a wet kit (from a marine truck) and winch from different sources, I had to acquire the fittings from the valves to the...
Went looking. In 2008 terms were:
"Under the terms of the new contract, LSI will pay DoD approximately 3.26% of the DoD's original acquisition value (OAV) for all useable surplus items referred and LSI will retain 100% of the profit while bearing its own costs for the merchandising and re-sale...
You may also want to call the State Police motor carrier enforcement folks. In the end, those are the folks you'll meet at the side of the road.
(As an example of why, WA's DMV has a nice FAQ on their web site for CDL, it unfortunately wasn't updated to match the laws the legislature passed 8...
Put a wet kit and winch on a M923, and after the PTO install things seemed to go pretty well.
But before I fire it up and re-wind the cable on the winch...
I looked in the TM, and can't find out if there's a procedure for bleeding all the air out of the hydraulic lines. Seems to simple to just...
The shift gear in the PTO can also not engage if it's not tight enough to the shift lever on the PTO.
And the other thing, are you sure the PTO lever is engaging fully? It will come about 1/2 way every time, but the rest will depend on where the transmission gear happened to stop rotating. If...
Well, there's 5.5" between my tires. And those are 60%. So 5" or less for new tires. With the slop I've seen in trucks along I-90, I'd guess chain collision.
The generated buzz in trade publications and then got the stories picked up by mainstream news networks. It's an advertisers dream. Mass market at little cost.
But as long as we're just guessing:
1) There's going to be hundreds sold for over 20K each.
2) The ones that sell for what might be a...
So it binds the future buyer also. Fine.
I still don't see the language that effectively says "You buy purchasing this accept all liability for what any future person does with it." I see plenty of language that says the buyer holds a lot of people harmless for what they do with it. And if that...
