Replaced all the rubber fuel lines and o rings on selector valve on the 816, WOW what a difference, fires right up now. Now to chase down the starter gremlins.
For $25 or so I would replace the governor up on the firewall to eliminate that as a possibility. Is the big copper line coming off of the back of the air compressor warm or hot to the touch? If it is hot to the touch them your problem lies elsewhere .
My self I would use the cat long life antifreeze, I think the last time I got some from Freightliner was 13.50a gal. If you do switch over, flush, flush and flush as the two are not compatible.
