I haven't had the pleasure of working with Alredneck but can confirm Warthog is a superior human being in all aspects and I get confirmation of that from anyone else that knows him as well.
Pretty heavy trailer for motorcycles unless you were hauling 4 HD Full Dressers behind a deuce or 5 ton. The M103A3 trailer without the MKT body still weighs over 1600lbs. Add probably another 500 for the deck and you're past a ton of weight before loading anything.
Now if you were planning to...
Barnett1 welcome to the site and to the MKT obsession. We're getting quite a group here in TX. Maybe we should all try to circle the chuckwagons at the next SS Ralley in College Station. Everyone can take a meal to cook and the attendees (if they want fed) can all pull KP
Looks good!
One thing I noticed is that they removed the channeling on the sides for the Red Cross panels. Check the top of the box to see if they removed that one as well. There's a chance that you could get some leakage when it rains even if it's there but doubly so if they removed it...
Well I got several suggestions on the drum removal and all started with BFH, although several put a qualifier as "dead blow BFH." So I tried that for about 15 minutes more this morning and no luck.
Just about the time I was going to start pulling the whole drum/hub assembly I got a brilliant...
WC rebuild kits already ordered. Today was just going to be "exploratory surgery" to see what major components I was going to need before putting it on the road.
Holy Cow! Just finished an email to you and here you've already posted the answer.
Hammer didn't work as I already tried that. I'll try the other suggestions in the morning.
Thanks!
After 2.5 years owning it I finally got around to working on the wife's M37 this weekend. I went through this whole thread knowing that I was going to have trouble getting the drums off so figured I better get all the ideas first.
Lt rear came off with NO problem what so ever. I couldn't...
And 30 years later that dust is still floating around YTC. Looks pretty cool when an M1 hits a pile. All you see is a huge cloud of dust and a big ol' gun tube coming out of it.
I'll take anything with an automatic right now. Unfortunately most of these are selling back East. With the cost of shipping this was probably the cheapest I'll ever see one.
923 just sold at Ft Hood for $2120 plus fees. Cheaper than deuces now and a whole lot cheaper than 1009s have been going for. Too bad my money is tied up in a M1010.
Not broken, rusted. I didn't have the lines to bend new ones and didn't want to leave the body sitting up on jacks over the weekend. There's only 2 lines that need replaced (across the back axle) so they're easy to get to. I prefer to do it in my driveway so I have all my tools handy and a...
The help has gone both ways. Stan hooked me up with some additional parts for mine as well. Sorry if I've been an "enabler" to your OCD but it's good to have more than one in the area.
We got the original frame back under the MKT last week. I spent Friday morning grinding the rust off and then shot it with primer and finally with Rapco 383 Green. It went back under with no issues and then I replaced all of the bolts connecting the frame and the body. Quite a few of the...
I attempted to swap out frames on mine last week and decided after I had the orignal one out that it was better than the other one I picked up. I'd say, in your case, you'll probably want to go with a new one

I would think any GM dealer. They might not have it on the shelves (although I'm willing to bet they do) but should be able to order one in a day or 2. Other than that it should be a common enough item for NAPA to have or get it.
Great for small arms fire but doubt it's any better for IED survivability. The Vietnam model had a 113 body in the bed of a 5 ton to make a gun truck.
By the way, that's a great video. Thanks for posting it.
