I want to say that a 610 is somewhere around 36 from bellhousing to center of u joint.... somewhat of a big tranny. It's a sure thing, with the stock engine, that you'd be moving your transfer case back if you swap to anything bigger than the Spicer 3000 series units that come stock.
I...
Rockwell axles are 1.62" at the splines with a neckdown in between. A chevy 14 bolt is 1.5" at splines with a neckdown.... The strength in the rockwells really comes into play in the front axle, with its HUGE ujoints.
Hi Nick,
Yep, I bought the rebuild kit from saturn, but it did not contain the rubber diaphragm or the pushrod. It did, however, have pretty much everything else needed to do the rebuild, including every replaceable part on the hydraulic side.
I didn't work on the wheel cylinders at all...
Hi guys, I just wanted to report back on finally rebuilding my air over hydraulic cylinder on my trailer. It took about 30 minutes, plus 30 minutes to debug and bleed.

My story:
I've been through 2 serious relationships since I was 21 who thought my vehicle...
By the way, the TD comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. Although it does give you a more bombable block, the Thick Deck casting isn't going to let you throw 100 psi into the intake. ;)
This reminds me of the Oldsmobile 350's, you know, the diesels that got put into american sleds, and had head...
Wow. That's why I always ALWAYS ALWAYS wear a P100/VOC respirator when I'm touching CARC... In addition to the standard CARC inhalation hazards, I wonder what chemicals were exposed to the CARC throughout its life.... although it's supposed to be very impervious (and probably is), I always...
So is second gear TOTALLY inoperative now? Like, it won't go in at all?
Sounds like you need to pop the top cover. Second gear should be moving the middle synchro back.
