If I remember right there is a little silver round thing on the passenger side of the transmission that has a very short vac line on it. You'll probably find it is dry rotted.
Depends on the motor. Just experiment and see what works best, but it'll all work. I've had motors that don't mind gas at all, and others that don't. I've not experienced gas separating to the top. The only thing I've ever had separate so far was wvo/wmo mix.
Sounds like air, but also could be a fuel filter, fuel pump, or your IP is going. Start with replacing all the rubber fuel lines if you haven't already, and work your way from there to find the problem.

Yep, your right. Looking at the extras has got me confused. If there are two positives and two negative, it has the 24v generator, so its not converted. Anyone have a pic of there connections in a battery box I can look at?
