True, however I know from personal experience that the same part numbers are used by at least one other manufacturer. A friend ordered from General Spring and did not receive Dayton/Stanley parts, unfortunately neither of us made note of what the supplier was at the time just that he received a...
If it is the usual carrier implosion then yes. Unfortunately the OP gave us zero indication of what went wrong aside from it was torn up and then requested advice on best solve for repair that is inexpensive for a truck he is looking to sell.
We will need more details before we can provide any...
I added a second fuel tank to my M1008 in the standard location. I have been using the Spectra premium sending units on both sides of the pickup and in the M1009 for at least 4 years. A reasonable price and they work well enough. Accuracy is better than the 30 year old OE's I replaced.
Good find on the broken rear spring. [thumbzup]
Were the replacements ATS brand or another manufacturer? This should help others make a more informed decision.
Sorry, no. I have not used SW on my trucks. I did use the Gillespie product obtained from Rapco with very good outcome.

Those videos AND shoes made the wait to read this thread well worth it!
So, before I had figured out that the spin on conversion was ideal, I had the same filter base issue on both my trucks. Somewhere in the old posts is a source for the updated pressure sensor. I purchased these...
CUCV Front Replacement Springs
Hoping to help those looking for suitable replacement springs. Just going to provide some facts.
Here is what the -34P lists as the part numbers and USABLE ON CODEs for the front springs on CUCV's:22 PAFZZ 11862 460354 SPRING ASSEMBLY,LEA...
After having gone through several Spectra Premium Brass CU850 radiators (could not get one shipped undamaged from several vendors including the NAPA branded version, Autozone and Rockauto.com, they are heavy and were never packaged well), I finally received one from Autozone which appeared that...
That is the tool I was referring to. It is available from MSC Industrial Supply: https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/35438209?rItem=35438209
This works very well for adjusting all three belts quickly and accurately.
Anti-seize
A good question Rick. I apologize for this being off the original topic but think people interested in upgrading their lighting will benefit from this discussion.
From my perspective it is not about the nylon fitting but about the steel alloy bolt that is exposed to the highly...
Keeping headlight adjusters from stripping.
This! Keep the buckets lubed. Also does not hurt to lube/anti-seize the threads on the screws. Never an issue after this.
Me as well. This site helped me tremendously in understanding the CUCV specifics and to have great father/son experiences restoring the old ladies. I've attempted to return the favor when possible but know I have only so far scratched the surface.
I used Eastwood rubberized undercoating on the new fender wells. thanks for the recommendation I agree they rusted out fast it up here in the North East quickly as OEM parts let alone repops. I also use the rusfre products. they seem to work well
the inner fenders I recently purchased from LMC are okay. they fit in the wells fine. some of the accessory holes needed to be redrilled as they were not lining up with OEM parts. I also recently installed civilian battery trays in the stock locations keeping the 24 Volt starting system. once...
Remember to use anti sieze when you replace the bolts, new or old crossover. A big part of the issue with the bolts freezing up is the corrosion that occurs when dissimilar metals are in contact with each other.
Good luck with your repairs.
You've performed some good detective work. I always recommend starting simple. Do the connecters make solid contact with their mating terminals? Are they clean? etc.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
Instructions are not in the PM's a previously stated. However, parts are indicated in the -20P in figure 201 and page 201-1.
5/16-18 threaded rivnuts/nutserts. 5/16-18 bolts.
When drilling out the old rivnuts, be careful not to exceed the diameter of the hole required for the replacement...
