That one doesn't include legs. These things aren't light so you're talking big money to start shipping them around the country.
A couple of sales ago there were a bunch of deuces in OK that had leg sets on them. All the ones at DRMO at Ft Sam are set for mutilation due to being part of a...
Two more months down and charging issues still not resolved. I broke down and bought a SureFire 80amp battery equalizer but have not gotten confirmed shipping yet so concerned it's going to be a while before it arrives. If that doesn't fix the charging issues I'm just going to pull the trigger...
Still a lot of bugs to work out on the M1010. I did order the battery equalizer so should be able to get rid of the DUVAC. It's just a matter of getting that here and installed and then making sure it's safe for the trip. So far the longest I've been is about 300 miles round trip and fried 1...
Most likely USAA will send a large vehicle estimator (i.e. commercial). He will write an estimate to repair and paint the fender and replace any "non-repairable" items like lenses etc. He will then tell you if you don't like his estimate you can always go through "your" ins company and they can...
Thanks CCE.
But it turns out to be what I was afraid of. Trying to see if one would fit in a shipping container but while the inside dimensions of the container are fine the door opening is about 6" too narrow.
Anybody have access to one for measurements? I know the information plates say 96" width but is that for the body or to the outside edges of the mirrors? Basically looking to see if you fold the mirrors in you can get it under 8' wide.
I went by Sid's place last year to pick some stuff up. He thought he was doing better but had just gotten some bad news recently. He's got an amazing place full of parts and he'll be missed by many for his knowledge and ability if he is actually getting out.
Holy Cow! A MEP-003A just sold at Ft Sam for $2400! Over 1100 hours and nothing particularly pretty about it. Maybe I need to put mine up for sale if they're bringing scrap gold prices now.
And before anyone says "well maybe there was something special about it" there wasn't. I inspected...
Will adding the fuel filter help the surging or just tell you if it's getting junk in it? Is the check valve readily available or something that's going to be difficult to come up with? Since my engine only has 28k miles not sure why the IP would be going out that soon. I know anything can...
I'm having a surging problem with my M1010. My problem is not at idle but when under throttle and you let off the accelerator. Acts like it is about to die and then, boom, huge surge. I did check and the glass ball is missing. Is it possible to just get the check valve and replace it?
Welcome to another S.Central TX MVer (even if it is work related).
Can't help you with the fording kit but you might want to join the Alamo MVPA. What better way to help promote your dept than displaying your deuce at local events (think DARE only BIGGER), plus we have several A2s but no A3s...
The last batch of MEP0003As that I was watching (some at Ft. Polk, LA and other in Michigan) went for well over 2k. Both sets were recent rebuilds with less than 10 hours but only 1 was mounted on a trailer. I would trust buying something from GL more so than eBay. I've had far better luck...
Well I did switch from Infantry to Armor so I guess it's all good. I can visit both museums at one spot. Now if they could just get the Wright-Pat museum down there it'd be like a military Disneyland.
Can't say that I'm up on all the happenings in the Army these days but why in the world are they moving the Armor Center to Benning? Isn't the Infantry School there enough? Is Armor Basic and AIT now going to be at Benning too? I know I only saw part of post while I was there (Sand Hill to be...
This is a nice unit. I had my M1010 over there the day Iron7 was picking it up. Unfortunately it was still in the hanger so I didn't get pics with mine. Brent Mullins is having their open house and swap meet March 19/20. Hope to see you all there.
There are no "snap" connectors on the unit like a standard 9v battery, just flat contact points. I did find something that said "3 BA-3090 Dry Cell" and cross referenced that to a "PP3" battery but still nothing that identified a generic civilian type.
Like you, I'm betting it is a standard 9v...
