I'm installing 2 systems designed for a hwwmv . 1 on a M920 the other on a M35a3. I believe I may not use the brackets on the M35A3.Will know more in the next 2 weeks.

I got mine at NAPA they had 3 or 4 styles of the 18" that all mounted the same way ;-)

I have seen alot of M816s singled out and the truck without any load is 36000 LBS. So yes it can be done safely. As Gimpy stated you need to check tire load of the tire you are looking at.

Yes I have seen on M35A2s and 5 tons were the shaft mount has been lifted up tight against the dash and the holes redrilled to give more leg and belly room.

I may be wrong but I was thinking the A2 and A3 used the same cover and bows ?

You can take loose the colum mount and lift it and redrill the holes and gain about 2 to 2 1/2 inches.
