Welcome to the madness from Salmon River country!!
If it IS an R2 (sounds like it is) then it's pretty rare--only 308 built-- you'd be the only one on your block to have one---
Jim
It's still the M35 without the upgrades to either the A1 or A2.
The local fire dept I bought it from gave it the "new" bed and fiberglass bed sides/troop seats from the A3 they upgraded to. The exhaust is the original gasser "under the body and exit down low at the right tandems." Also has a...
VERY nice craftsmanship!
Hope you realize you just turned out a very rare part that people are always looking for when restoring these carts. PLEASE make more and advertise------you WILL sell them!!
Jim
Oh yeah!!
Last year, day after labor day I was securing my load of logs on the big truck at work. Should have been using the cheater pipe to stay clear of the "action" but got in a hurry and was just using my hands. Chain binder went a little sideways as I was snapping it down and the handle...
Matt,
I clicked on a link on that Russian Cletrac pic and got more info.
It seems that Cletrac is in the GBUK Military Technical Museum in Chernogolovka, about 35 miles north East of Moscow.
So it appears they ended up with at least one!
Jim
Matt,
Cool! a Rat Rod Cletrac.
I was looking at Bing images for Cletrac M2 and ran across photos of what I assume is a Russian Museum. Had a few pics of Russian vehicles and text was in Cyrillic.
In another pic was a Cletrac!! That got me to wondering if any Cletrac M2 tractors got sent...
Matt,
9JA120 was in southern Colorado (Cortez) in a private collection/museum. I thought you'd get a kick hearing about it since it's so close to your serial. Got a chance to chat a while with the owner. He laughed and said everyone that sees it wants it. (I just HAD to ask if it was for...
Matt,
By donating my frame, my spare(loose) roadwheels go to the project. I have some leads on more stuff but it's really along shot. I will keep you in mind when looking for goodies.
I remember those trailer pics and thought the same thing!! I wonder if any of those Cletrac trailers are...
Mongo, Matt, Monkeyboyarmy and all others interested in the Cletrac M2,
That Cletrac final drive assy. with just the rear half of the frame still attached (i.e. "The Cletrac Residue), has been purchased by a businessman in Akron, OH that is getting set up to manufacture new tracks for...
Found this old thread. Just occurred to me that Oliver tractor also makes this list. My latest Cletrac M2 Medium High Speed tractor was built toward the end of the production run by Oliver after they took over Cletrac.
We'll be watching the updates on your progress. Looks like your route takes you through Cloudcroft NM then down the grade to Almagordo. That is a 6% grade for 16 miles if I remember correctly from our trip to retrieve one of our Cletracs. Best to make sure the brakes are top-notch on yer wagon...
The best way I have found to save the numbers is to use a fine grade of sandpaper (400 grit wet or dry) and sand slowly and carefully with plenty of water. I would NOT!!! use stripper as it does not know(care) what layer of paint you are trying to remove and what you are trying to save...
Yeah, this was a photo taken during testing to see if the program would work as planned. The barge was built like a huge hovercraft to haul supplies over open water and ice in the far north for oil exploration. I found the pic and info on Columbia Helicopters home page--has a pretty good write...
Columbia Helicopters Vertol 107-II pulling a hover barge. No- it is not crashing- the 25 degree nose down attitude was needed to pull the weight.
Did someone earlier in the thread mention something about "Serious Stones"? LOL!
IMHO--THE coolest wheeled vehicle ever built!!! My rust lust meter just broke the gauge!!!
A chance to see one in person-very cool! A chance to drive one-waaycool!! Chance to buy one!!!?? (and local so as not to bankrupt just getting it home)-PRICELESS!!
YOU lucky fella!! Go for it, that is...
Folks,
I would like to know if anyone here knows the whereabouts of this HH34J.
Strangely enough, it appears that I SHOULD have bought the dang thing afterall!!! Here it is years later, and my son is now flying Helos for hire and guess what his ride is for his first paying gig (other than the...
