They are HUMVEE tops from different models. Won two pallets of what were called "tarps" from GL some time back and they turned out to be a bunch desert tan HUMVEE tops for all versions of the truck. They work perfect over the cabs of the big trucks. Great for the snow and the sun here in...
A few of parked vehicles after the two feet of snow in the Denver area ending Oct 29th. Typical Denver weather. Teens for temperatures and 2 feet of snow then 65 degrees for a week.
Posted these pictures from a heavy equipment show in Vegas sometime back. That thing is awesome

The Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado (MVCC) have added this nice water buffalo to its inventory. Aluminum tank, all 6 spickets are still in the two feed boxes and new tires. Just got back from bouncing around about 50 gals of water and bleach in the tank to clean it out. All clean on...
SRODOCKER, NATO designation - Hagglunds BV 206, US ARMY and USMC - M973 Small Unit Support Vehicle. Supposedly in use in 44 countries according to Hagglunds.
On all my trucks, deuces and 5 tons, air slowly leaks past the emergency air line valves mounted on the frame at the rear of the truck, probably on the front valve on the 5 ton. Can tell this because when I take the gladhand cover off, it spews a little air for a second. Can't hear air...
The Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado (MVCC, website mvcconline.org) supported a short notice event in Castle Pines, Colorado (30 miles south of Denver) with a few vehicles. The event was held in the support of the Marine Scholarship Foundation who provides funds for the sons and...
This has always been, is and will be a great site for the MV enthusiast. It is that way because of the operations manual the site runs by that was put in place by its founders. It is an iternet site and thus is basically an open forum no matter how things are posted or sent between members to...
Forgot to say I got the mudflaps themselves on Ebay for cheap. Also if you are having trouble opening the Betts catalog right click on it and select open in new window. Takes a little time but it will open up.
I bought a Betts set model B69 (straight arms, 9" offset) and they came with the mounts you see in the pics. B69 is a set of two A69 arms that are shown in the Betts catalog. They look close to the tires but forward motion and air flow does keep them off the rear set of tires. No rub matks...
Thanks everyone. The comments confirmed my suspicion that seal did not belong up front. Cleaned out the knuckle and reapacked with grease, stripped the backing plate of all grease and paint and primed it and repacked the bearings with just the paper seal installed between the hub and the cap...
Mine pulling this 20,000 lb trailer is no speed demon by anymeans. Especially at our altitude (Denver) any grade wil slow this rig quite a bit. Steeper grades I'm in low. Level roads 52 mph is no problem
When I disassembled the front right hub for the first time between the spline cap and the hub body there was a paper gasket then a metal framed leather shaft seal. Should that leather shaft seal be in there? The TM's don't show it. I thought there was just a paper gasket between the spline cap...
