Not an MV but my "While deployed V

RE: Re: RE: Not an MV but my "While deployed V My Wifes new car is a Dodge and it gets 34 MPG, this is much less than that but I have yet to take a look at the injectors and despite it's shiney looks it has 129,000 on it. I do like the size since my truck at home is a 4X4 Diesel Suburban...

    swing out spare tire carrier

RE: Re: RE: swing out spare tire carrier I am planning on welding up one that will slide into the reciever hitch for ours but it will have to wait for me to get home. It will still let you use the hitch and be tied onto the frame rail as well.

Not an MV but my "While deployed V

As a lot of you know I got T boned back on 4 March and lost my little Kia pride that I got around in here in Korea. I have not been able to get an M1009 out of DRMO so I settled for the next best thing a 1988 Jeep Cherokee Laradeo. It cost me $400.00 but I had to get it running and then put...

    b29 frozen in time

If they were burned they probably are not worth more than scrap value. I saw lots of burned out engines, transmissions and other critically short components that were just scrapped in Iraq. The bottom line I know is shortcuts often lead to short lives.

    33's and No Lift

RE: 33 I have 33" tires on ours sorry no good pictures but it does lower the RPM at highway speeds and they just look better on the truck. I tinted the back windows too and that really makes it look good.

    Muffler Modification.

Has anyone radically altered the exit location taking it back past the cab and exiting at the duals? The old M52 is that way. Just curious because moding the exhaust does not mean having to keep it in the same place.

    Ultra capacitors for cranking

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Ultra capacitors for cranking I sent an email to GM about using a mix of high effeciency caps and batteries in their hybrid. The way a cap acts it is good for such short period bursts but the voltage drop after one time period would limit anything but one shot as Bjorn...

updated pics of my hemtt restoration

I know I would be ashamed if the cars were just left somewhere. When I was a kid and just driving we are talking in the late 60's so there were a lot of junk cars that got left out near our farm. City folks I always reckoned, but they were usually stripped an just hulks. That out of the way...

    New M818 win...

Andy: I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope to see some great shots from the chase vehicle. As you know our 1,200 mile recovery went pretty well and got my oldest son Christian hooked on old military iron. Have fun and make sure you do a good PMCS before you head out.

    M54 Bobed ready to roll

RE: Re: M54 Bobed ready to roll That truck rocks to think someone would pay 90,000 dollars for one of those new International Heavy Duty pick ups when they could have one like yours. Very nice truck and can't wait to see some pics of it in action like riding over a car or pulling out of a mud...

    b29 frozen in time

Having gone through a fire at sea the only thing I think would be worse would be one in the air like this one. There should have been a supression system on board as we have in our combat vehicles. My guess is that there was not a full crew on it either as the fire might have been contained...
