I showed up in my get-dirty clothes and had my work gloves as always. None of us even gave the truck a second look until the task was completed. I showed up just in time to help get it done. Now the interesting dissection can unfold on the slapper motor.
This is not the 4x4 shifter but the transmission shifter. Made by Brian Kilduff. There ia a you-tube video showing him shifting it with a wooden baseball bat. VERY sturdy.

Adam- go ahead and get 'er stuck in the beaver pond again. There should be big trucks with winches and the trusty 6 inch snatch-em strap which I am acquiring from my Florida buddy!!! No more breaking my CUCV recovery stuff to get those big trucks out (at least I did get it out).
My 932A1 sure surprised me with its calm road manners. I was expecting it to be far more harsh, esp. bobtailing. It floats along, only "bucks" a little going over wash-boarded roads or concrete roads with the joints at just the right intervals. I am pleased with the acceleration. And yes it does...
Picked this truck up from WPAFB on 7/6/12. Super clean. Has 484 miles on the odometer and 24 hrs on the tach. From every appearance, this is accurate. New parts everywhere. What a saweet ride this turned out to be.
Consider one main drawback with these backhoe booms- they are restricted to 180 degrees of swing. That would be a deal-killer for me. To be practical, it needs to have 360 degree capability.
