For temporary fixes on small leaks, I have had great results with Bard's Stop Leak and aluma-seal. Other quick fixes (and they DO work) include instant mashed potato flakes, or cracked pepper.
I recently bought some LMC replacement body parts for my 1009. They fit very well, but were considerably thinner than the original. If I had it to do over again, I would have tried to find non-rusted parts from an older vehicle if possible.
4 wheel drive gives you more GO, but not any more woe. The mistake I see most drivers with little or no 4wd experience get a sense of invincibility with their new found ability to accelerate in slick conditions. They tend to think they can stop on dime with the 4wd, only to find themselves...
That's a good looking 1009. I like the light mount on the roof. I have been contemplating doing something similar to mine. Seems that I have somewhat of a light fetish :twisted:.
