Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

Two things.
One, if you engage the front axle with the hubs unlocked and you are moving you risk damaging the transfer case
Two You can apply too much torque to the rear axle in low range without the front engaged and can potentially damage the rear end. This is less likely with the...
Hi Folks, in our efforts to support the MV community we have added the 4 TMs that apply to the M880 series of vehicles. If anyone knows of any additional manuals that would be useful please let me know.

If you are worried about oil pressure buy a mechanical gauge and install it and see what it actually is. That is the only sure way to know the oil pressure of your engine.
While the electrical gauges are almost always accurate, sometimes they are not.
Why risk a huge expense such as an...
I would suggest letting it soak for a while and then connect an air hose to a cylinder that is on the firing stroke. Connect it to a pressure source and let it sit. The compressed air can provide a lot more persuasion on the piston and the rest of the rotating assembly than you can with a bar...
TM 9-2320-273-20 page 633 has the diagram and wire number locations for the switch.
You can download the TMs from www.jatonkam35s.com in the M915 section.

Remove the inlet air line. Squirt some oil in the line and then reconnect and cycle the brakes several times. This will work the oil through all of the air circuit.

The picture in BigBlock's post #11 is of the new style airpack and you are correct that there is not a plug anywhere within the air system on that design.
No I would not remove the switch or any other plug.
I would consider lubing the air side of the air pack by doing as I described which is...
If you are talking about the plug on the old style air pack versus the new style the major difference is the length of the air piston assembly and the way it mounts on the Slave Cylinder.
The older style airpacks have a "J" Tube that connects the air control valve and the end of the cylinder...
I would apply the black and brown and go a little beyond the pattern and that way the appearance will be more subdued.
The other thing is that the green fades even with the CARC and lightens as it ages.
If it were me, I would apply the 2 other colors and then when you have time and warm...
It is 40 here. I just started my deuce to hook up the M105 for a parade tomorrow.
I had to add a little bit of throttle to get her to catch. Once she caught, I let her idle until the oil pressure came up. Then I set the throttle to about 1000 RPM to let her build air and warm up a bit...
The adjuster actually is connected to the heel of the shoe. It moves the shoe towards the drum or away depending on which way you turn it. Think of an ellipitical cam.
These trucks suffer mostly from sitting and a lack of preventitive maintenance. I had to pull every hub on my deuce and pack...
If the adjuster is spinning with the lock nut, you can adjust the brake. As it spins the eccentric turns and repositions the shoe either closer or father away as you did adjust the other side.
If it were me, I would adjust the brake and soak the frozen nut regularly and if you can get some...
I recall that the combustion cycle of the multifuel is one of a steady burn as opposed to a spontaineous ignitiion of a gas or conventional diesel engine. This would make starting a cold engine more difficult as the combusion in a steady manner is a result of temperatures and air flow and a cold...
Well, I checked the Steel soldiers TMs and they are not posted yet.
You can get all the TMs you will need from
JATONKAM35s HOME ON THE WEB
In the Deuce Section.
There are three dfifferent versions of the Deuce TMs not counting the A3s
I would download the TM 9-2320-361 series as...
I agree on the learning curve on the zipper boots.
The trick for me was having the clamp at a size just big enough to slip over the boot and hold it, and that was enough to hold the boot while I tightened up the clamp.
I figure an hour is fair depending on any other PMCS he does while he...
