there are so many different factors when comparing a lit to a pull lifts involve winds and drafts and other variables that have to be acounted for pulls are ussually a little less complicated as it is more a figure of resistance vs pull needed
arb=850 .detroit=400 lock out hubs =600 so really arbs are cheaper than running detroits with lockouts .another thing is detroits are a pita when locked in on the street on the front or rear they put every thing in a bind the only way to eliminate this is lockout hubs and not running 6x6 and...
lock outs and detroit are the same price as a arb but detroit doesnt fully lock it when engage they are spring loaded and will slip some under heavy loads where arb doesnt slip at all not to mention having to get out to unlock the hubs .i like the driveabilty of being able to turn with out a...
better to be safe than sorry and there is no way to completely flush it anyway but having some atf in there will keep cleaning it even when things are running .most hydraulic cylinder have teflon rings in them and gas drys them out and will make them wear quickly or could leave a residue that...
i would use trans fluid on everything fill the res shake it up then bump it out fill pump with atf turn it by hand till you are getting fluid out the pressure side then you are good to go there .doing it by hand wont hurt if some grit goes through it since it wont be under pressure it will find...
really possible but to do it to all wheels at once i would think not maybe water freezing in the mc not letting the piston move .the wheel cylinders would move even with ice in them the pressure on them would brake the ice fairly easily
i like the idea of the trailer . the late style landing gear is nice .i would put m105 axles on it if i made one they are lighter and have the set up for the e brake already
just something that didnt need to be done i kept my pintle in its stock location and added another pintle and a reciever type hitch to.i can kind of understand the hitch if they set it up for a different truck but not the spare tire
detriots are cool but arb s are the way to go fully locked when on and act like stock when not locked .no need for extra compresser truck already has that covered:roll: a little more money for alot better product and better driveabilty:-D
hmm interesting trailer.i'm a little confused they doubled up the tongue to lower the lunette and then lowered the pintle to match on the truck when it would have lined right up how the truck was and with just using the tongue from the m105:roll:then they took the spare tire carrier off and...
yep m200 i have seen them converted to dollies and have seen s250 shelters on them. the possibilties are endless .i would make a converter dollie out of it if i had one
good idea i guess i need to oil mine to.oh my green god a tm is wrong?what will all the tm guys do now i'm gonna need my popcorn for this one:roll:ok now i'm getting mad where did you guys put the popcorn smily:???:
i have seen models of the deuce but not tonka type trucks .the models are on ebay all the time they go for like 40 bucks if my memory is as good as i think:roll:other than that i havent seen any
what will a deuce pull:roll:thats a loaded question it is rated at 6000lbs without a cdl limits you to about 12500.but safely with working trailer brakes is somewhere around 20000.but nicely is more like 12000-15000 so its not deccelling to much in hills and head winds i pull my expadible with...
i would blow them out with air then flush with trans fuild .gas can dry the seals outthe rubber used in fuel line is different than in hydraulic lines fo a reason.also if you dont get all the gas out it can break down the hydraulic fluid when you fill it back up.trans fluid is hydro oil with a...
hmm i dont think the safey figure is the same for lifting as it is for pulling .if it were the deuce winch would only be rated at 5000 since the 1/2 inch cable isnt rated anyhigher than that for lifting and you would have to use two snatch blocks minium to pull out a deuce that is only stuck...
big tires load the turbo more so you will see it spooling up faster on the one with big tires than you will on the other on .but the end result is the same it will be way faster :-D
